We successfully extirpated a twig in the temporalmuscle through penetrating wound at lower cheek using an endoscope. The patient was a 7-year-old boy whose face had been injured when he fell onto a potted hydrangea. One month later after primary care, we suspected deeply locate foreign bodies in the temporal muscle, We able to observe the entry routes of the foreign bodies and remove all foreign bodies through primary wound under endoscopic view. With the irrigation technique, blood and minute foreign bodies around the peripheral tissues surface were flushed away ensuring a clear field of vision. The patient with this type of injury is good candidate for endoscopic surgery. Compared with conventional direct approach, this procedure is less invasive with minimum incisions and also provides the risk of overlooking remnants of the foreign bodies.
