Senecavirus A: Pathologist/researcher perspective

The swine industry has experienced an emerging concern associated with vesicular disease and transient neonatal mortalities caused by Senecavirus A (SVA). This vesicular disease is clinically indistinguishable from high-consequence foreign animal diseases (FAD), including foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV), vesicular stomatitis (VS), vesicular exanthema of swine (VES) and swine vesicular disease (SVD).
