A Brachyspira challenge study to evaluate medication options

Previous research (Elanco, data on file) suggested that narasin may have in vitro efficacy against Brachyspira kyodysenteriae. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of feeding 27.2 g/ton narasin on the severity of enteric disease in vivo in pigs challenged with Brachyspira kyodysenteriae in comparison to untreated challenged controls or those treated with 35 g/ton tiamulin in the feed.
