alpha,alpha-Disubstituted amino acids are non-proteinogenic amino acids,in which the hydrogen atom at the alpha-position of natural amino is replaced with an alkyl substituent [1].Introduction of alpha,alpha-disubstituted amino acids into peptides changes the conformational freedom and stabilizes the secondary structure of peptides.
