Human parvovirus B19 is a small nonenveloped virus,the icosahedral capsid of which consists of virus proteins (VPs) 1 and 2.The sequences of the capsid proteins are identical except that VP1 contains a unique sequence of 227 amino acids.IgG to conformational epitopes of VP2 are expressed up to several decades after infection.
