摘要

The insect sulfakinin (SK) family of neuropeptides show function and sequence homology with the hormonally active C-terminal portion of the vertebrate peptides gastrin and CCK.The inhibitory effects of SKs on food intake in insects [1,2] parallel those of CCK and gastrin related peptides as key regulators of satiety in vertebrates [3].Additionally,both CCK/gastrin related peptides and sulfakinins induce contractions of gut muscles and stimulate release of the digestive enzymes [4].
