摘要

At present,inefficient delivery and rapid excretion of contrast agents like gadolinium are the major obstacles in Molecular Imaging.Further a clear distinguation between tumor and non-tumor cells could not be achieved in MRI.Therefore it is necessary to create probes which can penetrate the cell membrane and differ between tumor and non-tumor characteristics (amplification of the c-myc oncogene family).To achieve this a transmembrane-transport-system of human origin was first coupled to the gadolinium-complex (Gd-complex) to enable passage into the intracellular space and further to an c-myc oncogene specific sequence to differentiate between tumor and non-tumor cells (Figure 1).
