Microarrays with alpha-helical peptides for protein detection using a FRET technique

In the postgenome era,proteomics will be one of the important fields for research.The progess in the proteomics studies depends on the achievement of a high-throughput protein-detection microarray technology.Small peptides can be useful as capturing agents for these microarrays,because they can be easily designed and synthesized with suitable secondary structures such as alpha-helix,beta-strand or loop.In this study,we constructed small peptide arrays using designed alpha-helical peptides with a FRET function to detect a variety of proteins.
