The subject of performed analysis was to settle the probable reasons of damage of connecting rod screw of main ship engine on the grounds of investigations of bolt material and checking calculations, based on delivered by a shipowner technical and exploitation documentation of the engine. The final conclusions suggest the way of preventing similar damages in further exploitation of the BAH22 engines on the vessels.
