It is to be noticed that extensive guidelines on no account impede the author's freedom and preferences as long as they separate content respectively teaching methods from rules for the design of WBTs. The use of guidelines pursues the objective of creating/designing high-quality, standardized, suitable for everyday use, and in various respects efficient learning offers. The effects of guidelines might be both favourable and restrictive. Guidelines which are too rigid can have counterproductive effects. Therefore, individual guidelines must be well-balanced. As a conclusion, we suggest to develop project-specific guidelines.
