Pre-excitation produces an anomalous ventricular activation through pathways other than His bundle, and so ventricular complexes observed in Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome during periods of sinoatrial rhythm are the results of fusion: the first phase of ventricular activation consists of excitation via the accessory pathway, while later forces result from the depolarization of residual portions of the ventricles via the His-Purkinje system [1-3].Surgical resection in the 1980s and radiofrequency catheter ablation over the last few years are standardized treatments which can take advantage of an optimized pre-procedure assessment [4-7], Electrophysiologic studies and radiofrequency ablations can be abbreviated, when presumptive localization of accessory pathways is available before the procedure: this allows advance planning of the most appropriate technique, shortening the time taken for information acquisition and reducing manipulations and, hence, mechanical damage to the heart chambers [8].
