In this paper I will define the term smart toy, give a brief history on smart toys, give a brief summary of what the Intel Smart Toy Lab and three products it has sold over the last 3 years which are the Me2Cam, QX3 Computer Microscope, and the Computer Sound Morpher, talk about some present day smart toys, state the Smart Toys project, which was to build and test the Lego Mindstorms robot, TAB Electronics Build Your Own Robot Kit Robot, and Stiquito, and give a brief conclusion.
