The studies on the structure and performance of filtration cake in dynamic (cross-flow) micro-filtration process are made experimentally and theoretically with a set of dynamic press filter and the scanning electronic microscope (SEM) and the computer image analyzing technique to disclose the mechanism of the process. The effects of the cake pore size factor C is studied in the paper. D_S, D_(50) and C of the cake on cross-flow micro-filtration are contrasted with its on dead-end filtration.
