Property of Asphalt Mixture Improved by Diatomite

摘要

The study result shows that diatomite has immense adhesion capacity that may adhere on the surface of aggregates efficiently and equably, and lead to sharply drop the fluidity of asphalt mixture. Through enhancing the elasticity modulus of asphalt mixture, the diatomite improves or modifying the physical and mechanic properties of asphalt mixtures used in pavement. This modified mixture could be improving perceived limitation of the binder and mix to fatigue resistance, permanent deformation, and thermal fracture and moisture sensitivity.
