摘要

The Imperial College Finite Element Program, ICFEP, has been developed to allow for unsaturated soils analysis, with the aid of a simple conceptual model of such soil behaviour. Application of the modified code indicates that typical wetting front development is obtained, and this implies that a useful study of the processes of infiltration into unsaturated soils slopes may now be undertaken. Such a study will examine a slope failure in Hong Kong, and will be supported by other research at ImperialCollege into unsaturated soil behaviour.
