Gold and aluminum nanowires with different diameters have been investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) at different microscopic magnifications. SEM micrographs show the morphology of crystallisation of the nanowires. The thinner gold and aluminum nanowires have been characterized by a coarsegrained morphology while the ticker nanowires ― by a fine structure.
