摘要

Calcium chloride (CaCl_2) and its hydrates are candidate materials for chemical heat storage/pump applications (1). The common thermal analysis techniques (thermogravimetry, differential scanning calorimetry) are widely used for comparing the properties of materials and newly developed composites. In this work, a new method for the observation and analysis of dehydration reaction of chemical heat storage materials is proposed. In this time, it has been tried to observe the dehydration of calcium chloride hexahydrate by means of infrared microscopy. The change associated to the dehydration reaction could be captured in terms of infrared emission, making it possible to distinguish eventual changes on the observed particles.
