Numerical analysis and experiments on purification of indoor pollution in real scale room by visible-light photocatalysts are performed to estimate and predict the performance of them. Computational fluid dynamics is used for purification analysis with mass diffusion equation. In the experiments, formaldehyde is continuously generated in the room with ventilation, and concentration of formaldehyde is measured for three days. These experiments show the effect of the photocatalysts for VOC purification. Compared with experimental results, the accuracy of purification analysis is acceptable for practical use. This purification analysis is useful for estimating and predicting the performance of the visible-light photocatalysts.
