摘要

Creep bending of a linear viscoelastic beam is studied in this paper. A fourth order partial differential equation is derived from the constitutive laws and Euler-Bernoulli theory. A procedure for obtaining an exact analytical solution is presented for a viscoelastic beam subjected to axial and distributed transverse loads. Numerical results are given for a viscoelastic beam of hollow circular cross-section with simply supported boundary conditions.
