A new test device and method: geotextile-soil interface cylindrical test (gict)

摘要

A new interface testing device, Geotextile-Soil Interface Cylindrical Test (GICT) is developed. The GICT is used to perform interface tests between soil and geotextile. A comparative study was undertaken to evaluate the performance of the newly designed test device. The results were compared to those obtained from the fixed shear tests performed in the conventional direct shear device. The GICT gave reproducible and comparable efficiency values and served to be a good tool for determining the interface strength parameters.
