Uniform Surface Template Imprinted Resins Prepared by Emulsifier- Free Emulsion Polymerization

The uniform surface ion-imprinted resins for two different metal ions such as Zn~(2+) and Cd~(2+) as the imprinting guest were prepared by emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization utilizing ally phenyl hydrogenphosphate as a functional comonomer. The Zn~(2+) -imprinted resin adsorbed Zn~(2+) much more effectively than did the unimprinted one. The selective feature of the surface imprinted resins to the target ions was demonstrated.
