RECONSTRUCTING PAST AND FORECASTING FUTURE CLIMATE AT YUCCA MOUNTAIN, NEVADA

摘要

Paleoenvironmental records from Devils Hole, packrat middens, and paleowetlands in Nevada, and Owens Lake and Death Valley in California are used to interpret and understand past climate processes. The cyclicity, sequencing, nature, magnitude, and duration of past climates were reconstructed from these records. This information was used to establish the nature, magnitude, and timing of future climate change.
