Due to the cultural and social evolutions at the end of 20 century, more multi-purpose performing halls will be built and the artificial sound systems will be widely used. In the 21st century, the classic auditorium acoustics suffers more challenge from the electroacoustics. The restrictions of the classic performing halls on the maximal capacity, the shape and the acoustic variability accelerate the application of the enhancement system and the electronic architecture system. Since many non-solved problems of today's artificial sound systems, the auditorium acoustics of the natural sound can not be totally eliminated by the artificial systems in the near future. The "passive" acoustics will be still developed in a parallel way with the "active" acoustics.
