Electrochemical studies of interaction between DNA and vitamin B_2

The nature and dynamics of the binging of small molecules to biomacromolecules are an active area to study in recent years. There were more reports about the interaction of DNA with porphyrin compounds than vitamins medication. Vitamin B_2 (VB_2) is also called latochrome. It is one of micro organic compounds, which are necessary for the growth and metabolism of biologies. The electrochemical behavior of VB_2 at a glassy carbon electrode was reported, whereas electrochemical investigation of VB2 with DNA is reported for the first time. The major focus of this article is on the interaction of VB_2 with DNA by cyclic voltammetry and UV-VIS spectroscopy.
