KAir and H~*(10) Rate Constants for Gamma Emitters

Monte Carlo calculations have been carried out to estimate the Air Kerma rateconstant and the Ambient dose equivalent rate constant for 139 monoenergetic photon sources.The factor that relates activity to air kerma rate or to ambient dose equivalent is useful toestimate the dose from a photon emitter source. Here 139 point-like and monoenergetic gamma-ray sources, ranging from 0.01 to 10 MeV were utilized in Monte Carlo calculations to estimateboth gamma factors. These factors were utilized to calculate the air kerma-and-ambient doseequivalent rate constants for ~(137)Cs- ~(137m)Ba,~(198)Au, 60)Co, and 131)I,whose values were comparedwith those published in the literature.
