Improving world economy and consumers of Industrial communities, always expect new products from every usable material which can improve their life standards, speed up their production or which can beautify their environment and renew their day life everyday. Producers who want to satisfy all these needs and wishes of the consumers, are Indeed consumers too. In order to achive this aim they want machines which Increase the speed, the variety of products they offer and especially their quality, from companies, which develop systems and concepts, makes designs and produces machines. In spite of the importance of computer and electronic developments, there is a sector which becomes more important day by day, which is sheet metal processing Industry. Companies which expect to take bigger shares from the income, that this sector provides; has brought a new method, which is LASER, in order to achieve quality, speed, stockless production, responding every demand with low costs. It is sure that this method, which is yet a developing process, will be used effectively oncoming times. In this study, changes of hardness and fracture toughness researches, has been Investigated, when joining carburizing steel (16 MnCr5) with spherical graphite cast iron (GGG50) materials using laser weld, after the examination of CO{sub}2 laser principles.
