An integrated learning approach in fuzzy logic control and neural systems

Artificial neural networks and fuzzy logic are two technologies that have gained widespread interest in various research and application areas especially in advanced control. A recent course on fuzzy logic control and neural systems was developed to teach and nurture students in this specialized area. In order to provide an effective aid for learning, lecture classes are augmented with demonstrations of completed projects. Laboratory experiments have been enhanced with open-ended experiments. Students gained knowledge with extensive real-time case studies presented. The use of the Internet for "e-learning" is currently being developed to add in a new dimension of learning.
