Actin, which is problably associated to nuclear matrix (5), therefore undergoes an evident, at least initial, polymerization in apoptotic nuclei, which could be functionally correlated to chromatin rearrangement in apoptosis. In late stages, actin is only observable in cytoplasm, among micronuclei, and appears progressively less identifiable.
