The identification is described of poly(tetrafluoroethylene)s of a window of viscosities that permits common melt-processing into mechanically coherent, tough objects of this unique polymer that, heretofore, has been characterized as highly "intractable" and "not melt-processable". This finding allows the fabrication of new products, as well as compounding and recycling opportunities.
