Bridges in Egypt under the control of GARBLT (General Authority for Roads and Bridges and Land Transportation) had been subjected to chronological progress in the last decade. This paper aimed at presenting the criteria of using Mobile Scaffolding system (MSS) in the West Portion of Suez Canal Bridge of length 1170 m. The paper reflects a particular emphasis regarding the stability of the Mobile Scaffolding and its fixation to the Pier Columns using shear keys. Finite element modeling had been undertaken, constitutive models for concrete had been utilized providing for cracking and reflecting the effect of lateral confinement " by horizontal prestressing bars" on the total stability. Finally, the adopted construction method using the Mobile Scaffolding (MSS) and related construction aspects had been highlighted.
