Center as an object of the sentence cognitive structure

In the article the notion of sentence "center" is introduced. The center can be interpreted as a generalization of subject. Cognitive mechanisms, that might bring this element to appear in sentence structure, are discussed. Classification parameters, which may be put into the basement of more precise typology of languages, are given. On the example of the Yimas it's shown, that use of the introduced notion allows to get more compact descriptions of sentence core structure.
