In summary, we have synthesized a Gd_2O_3:Eu,Li red phosphor based on the MCCM, which was based on the polymeric complex using citric acid and ethylene glycol, and investigated their particle growth mechanism and photoluminescence properties. This method yielded fine powders of Gd_2O_3:EU,Li red phosphors with little agglomeration and Gd_2O_3 formation at lower temperatures than required for conventional solid-state reaction methods. It has a better PL emission intensity, CL emission intensity than the undoped-Gd_2O_3:Eu and commercial Y_2O_3: Eu phosphor.
