This paper develops a new method for calculation of form-factor, which is the key part of Radiosity solution, between close patches. Error becomes larger and larger, more and more difficult to control when the distance of two patches gets smaller and smaller. The traditional methods can not calculate form-factor between close patches accurately. Multiplexing and algebraic precision are two ways to decrease error. The former is such method as dynamic subdivision, the latter is such method as Gaussian method. This paper analyses their applied conditions and combines them to calculate form-factor between close patches accurately.
