摘要

The skin is the second largest organ of the body (after the skeleton) and makes up 25 percent of the weight of a newborn kitten or puppy, so it is not surprising that something may go wrong during its development. Genodennatoses are skin diseases caused by genetic factors, and the genes responsible for these disorders are passed on from one generation to the next. The majority of these are autosomal recessive disorders, and a few are autosomal dominant with variable penetrance. The mode of inheritance of others has not yet been clearly established.
