Removal of wax from a ceramic shell is a critical step in the production of sound investment cast pieces. The technology for wax removal has improved so that there are now plenty of alternatives in both the steam dewax and flash fire dewax areas. As the technology of the PIC industry continues to evolve, it does not necessarily have to become more difficult. The Yorkaire dewax ovens operates on the premise that simplicity in design and operation is an advantage and an alternative that should be considered.
