Current and New Technologies for Vaccines and Vaccination Decisions

摘要

The purpose of this paper is to review recent advances in vaccinology aimed at the control of infectious diseases in horses. Particular emphasis will be placed on advances in the formulation and the assessment of efficacy of these vaccines as well astheir use for maximum effect. Influenza and West Nile Virus (WNV) provide the best examples of how and where recent advances have been made in development and use. Effective commercial equine vaccines available in North America will also be discussed.
