摘要

Lymphoma is one of the most common neoplasms seen in the dog. The annual incidence is estimated to range from 13-24/100,000 dogs at risk. In a recent review of the Veterinary Medical Data Program (VMDP), from 1987 to 1997, the frequency of the totalcaseload of canine lymphoma presented to 20 veterinary institutions has increased from 0.75 percent to 2.0 percent. Middle-aged to older (median age of 6-9years) dogs are primarily affected. Breeds of dogs reported to have a higher incidence include boxers, basset hounds, St. Bernards, Scottish terriers, Airedales, and bulldogs. The exact etiology is unknown. Some association between herbicide use and lymphoma has been reported.
