Eight cryocondensation pumps of 1.6 m2 each with installed pumping area provide the required pumping speed of 10~6 1/s in the Neutral Beam Injector system. The fabrication of these pumps incorporates specific processes which account for its operational compatibility for 1000 S long pulses. Primary among these are the surface coatings necessary for the LN2 baffles and the LHe panels. The design considerations and the choice, qualification and assessment of fabrication processes are presented in this paper.
