摘要

Cancer is still a serious illness menaced humanity health. Chemotheraphy, together with surgical treat and radiotherapy are three main methods in cancer's therapy. Many DNA interactants have been shown to have antitumour activity. This biological property has been attributed to the formation of the intercalation complexes or chemical-DNA adducts between the chromophore and DNA. Techniques capable of measuring the interaction of chemicals with DNA are very valuable for studying the antitumour activity. It has been proved that a compound binding to a double-stranded DNA in vitro can interact with DNA in vivo to a certain extent, and the anticancer activities of a drug agent manifested both in vovo and in vitro are parallel to each other and have to be related to its interaction with DNF.
