@@1.Introduction Hollow nanostructures have emerged as intriguing materials for diverse applications including drug delivery, bioencapsulation, medical diagnostics, catalysis, plasmonics, and composite electronic and structural materials[1]. In general, the commonly synthetic one-dimensional (ID) hollow nanostructures are nanocubes, which always have two open ends [2]. The fabrication of ID hollow nanostructure with an interior space and two closed ends is rare [3]. Most of the synthetic strategies for hollow structure are using the surfactant, polymers, and other additive as the templates[4]. These template methods always require complicated synthetic procedures, resulting in high cost and a time-consuming synthesis process [5]. Here, we report an example of template-free synthesis of ID hollow Fluorapatite (FHAp) hexagonal nanoprisms by a facile method. As far as we know, it is the first report on the preparation of ID hollow apatites nanostructure.
