The Development of a Comprehensive State Technology TransferProgram for Small Manufacturers

The intent of this paper is to present research findings of a study conducted at Oklahoma State University.The major objective of the study was to develop criteria for determining how a comprehensive statetechnology program should be structured according to the appropriate technology needs of the smallmanufacturers based on predetermined technology transfer dimensions. Rural and metropolitanmanufacturers across Oklahoma in various SIC codes were asked to determine the importance of fivetechnology transfer dimensions. Frequency Data Analysis and two-way ANOVA were used to test the fivedimensions against the demographics of age, size of company, and sic code.
