Using Secure Web Services for development of a Grid Competing Environment

This paper presents an implementation of a Globus-based Grid Computing Environment for a distributed simulation system. The Grid Services provide a hosting environment for applications, and thus we separate the responsibility of development and deployment and instantiation of a component in a distributed computation from the user of that component. By extensive use of metadata describing applications we provide an environment where applications can be shared between users. The Grid Computing Environment is based on a secure Web Services, designed and implemented prior to OGSI specification. Although not exactly conforming to OGSI, it follows the general OGSA approach.
