APPLICATION OF THE NEW EUROPEAN UNION LEGISLATION LEAD TO AN INCREASED LIQUID NITROGEN CONSUMPTION IN A HAEMATOPOIETIC PROGENITOR CELL BANK

摘要

In autologous transplantation of haematopietic progenitor cells the dose was adjusted to 2×10~6 CD 34＋ and 2×10~5 CFUGM and controlled at infusion in 29 patients. The mean leukocyte engraftment was achieved in 14 days. Cells were stored at temperatures below -140°C prescribed by the European Pharmacopoiea. The 46% increase in liquid nitrogen consumption was observed in comparison with the period of parallel using of the temperature -80°C.
