Optimization of rules is the key issue in designing control system in the intelligent control. If we endue various fuzzy variables in the rules with ordering, then all rules can be constructed as a partial-order set. So main methods of optimization of the rules, such as adding, deleting and merging, are similar to those in lattice theory. For example, merging of rule can be considered as lattice congruence. The corresponding point of control decision part in quotient lattice is just the control strategy after being optimized. This paper just investigates the lattice and lattice-congruence in fuzzy reasoning and control decision.
