The objective of this paper is to present the latest developments of Siemens VAI Sinter Technology especially concerningrelevant environmental issues.The Siemens VAI Selective Waste Gas Recirculation System can be installed in existing or in green field plants as 100 %add on or fully integrated. Another highlight of this off gas recirculation system is that, in combination with the MEROS~Rprocess (Maximized Emission Reduction of Sintering) represents the best available technology for reduction of manypollutants of the sintering process.Environmentalists have another reason to smile whenever the Siemens VAI Selective Waste Gas Recirculation System issuccessfully applied at sinter plants around the globe.
