Test of a 10-meter long, 2 kArms high-termperature superconducting cable conductor model based on Bi-2223/Ag-alloy tapes

An electrical measurement of AC-losses in superconducting cable conductors is a nontrivial task. In this paper we present the results from AC-loss measurements on a 10-meter long high temperature superconducting cable conductor. The critical current was found to be 3240 A at 77 K.
