摘要

Background/Objectives. Chlorinated solvents are commonly encountered toxic groundwater contaminants. Bioremediation at chlorinated ethene sites has emerged as a costeffective and productive approach. Dehalococcoides mccartyi (Dhc) strains, the only bacteria capable of complete detoxification of chlorinated ethenes, depend on community members to supply key nutrients including hydrogen and corrinoid(s). Therefore, to implement and sustain reductive dechlorination at contaminated sites, a comprehensive understanding of Dhc interactions with other community members is required.
