摘要

Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn [=Thanatephorus cucumeris (Frank) Donk] is one of the oldest and world wide distributed plant pathogens with very wide host range. Soil-borne plant diseases are often very difficult to control with chemical pesticides because of physical and chemical characteristics of the soil. The most commonly used fungal biocontrol agents are species of Trichoderma. For a biocontrol agent to become an integral component of plant-disease management, it must be effective, reliable, consistent and economical. To meet these criteria, a better and more basic understanding of the system must be reached.
