摘要

Anthracnose and stem end rot are an importance diseases of mangoes caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides and Lasiodiplodia theobromae. These fungi infect and remain latent in green fruit. Infected fruits developed symptoms at ripening stage during in storage and in the market (Mendoza and Will, 1984). Due to the public concern on fungicide residue and limited success of biological control, an alternative method for controlling of postharvest diseases was needed. Shloberg, et al (1996) reported that fumigation with acetic acid at 8.0 mg./litter followed by modified-atmosphere packaging for 74 days at 0 deg C reduced the percentage of rotted grapes from 94% to 2%.
