The future of special power sources is an elusive vision, as ever changing as our electromechanical inventions. Power, once only a basic need of scientists and engineers to put their inventions into motion, is now a necessity and has become abasic module of our current society. The majority of our electrical demand in the entire history of the world has been in the current century. Principally, during these past 100 years, special power devices were conversion and storage sources forproviding energy to power an existing, or newly developed apparatus. As advancing technological designs matured, so did the ultimatum for more power, and in most circumstances a parallel driving criteria to reduce size and cost. We also find that thespecial power source has now become more of an enabling means which allows our advanced developments to come to fruition. In order to look into the future, we will take a short glance back to the past and propose a general mode to address power demands as we prepare for the 21st Century.
